K-12 Teachers Get Training on Culture and Diversity in Curriculum at ORU
Oklahoma teachers will get a chance to study cultural diversity in curriculum at the 2009 Teacher Training Institute at Oral Roberts University from June 15-17. The Institute will feature topics such as, “Oklahoma’s Black Wall Street,” “Myths and Legends of Chicana’s and Latina’s Shared Indigenous Heritage,” and “The Changing Face of Immigration in America.” Read more
ORU Engineering Students Win Old Guard Poster Competition
ORU students Sean Estes and Jennifer Luth both brought home prizes from the annual American Society of Mechanical Engineers Student Professional Development Conference. Estes won the Old Guard Poster Competition with his poster on "The Development of a Small-Scale Vertical Axis Wind Turbine" and Luth received second place with her poster "Remote-Controlled Robot with Ramp for Rock Retrieval.” Read more
