Norah Swiney began working at ORU in 2014. Her classroom philosophy is a hands-on approach. Norah states, "I like learning by doing. As much as possible, I try to put students in the driver's seat with creative projects and peer-to-peer learning."
Norah has received a First Place award from the Tulsa Award for Theatre Excellence for an Outstanding Play, as well as a Tulsa ARC Advocacy Award for The Penguin Project at the Clark Youth Theatre. She currently has a research study underway with The Effectiveness of the Penguin Project Model on Young People with Special Needs.
What Norah enjoys most about teaching is seeing her students grow in their craft, discover their artistic voices and prepare for success in the field.
